Several rounds of rain will occur over Banff National Park this weekend and into early next week, with total rainfall amounts of 30 to 60 mm likely. Snowfall amounts are also possible over higher terrain. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected today and Sunday, and will generate localized amounts of 5 to 10 mm. Heavier, more steady rain will begin Sunday night and continue through to Tuesday. Rainfall amounts between Sunday and Tuesday will likely range between 20 to 40 mm, with potentially higher amounts along the eastern slopes up to 60 mm. Over higher terrain, heavy snow is possible on Monday and Tuesday, with upwards of 10 to 20 cm. Stay informed by monitoring local forecasts and be prepared for impacts.
