Mwaro is located in Burundi, a small landlocked country in the Great Lakes region of East Africa. The country experiences a tropical highland climate with temperatures moderated by altitude. Bujumbura and the Lake Tanganyika shore have a warmer climate, while the central and northern highlands enjoy cooler temperatures. The best time to visit is during the dry seasons (June-August and December-January) when rainfall is minimal and temperatures are pleasant.
